Location: Sydney-based (Hybrid – WOTSO Liverpool HQ + Remote Support)
Duration: Internship (3 months, with potential for extension or transition to part-time role)
About the Role
Sharktech Global is launching Flagman AI in Australia — an advanced vision-based safety and compliance system designed to detect unsafe acts, monitor PPE usage, and enhance workplace safety using artificial intelligence.
We are looking for motivated interns with a background or academic interest in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), risk management, or safety engineering who want to explore how AI is transforming industrial safety.
At Sharktech, you will be working within a fast-moving startup environment — where ideas turn into action quickly, and adaptability is key. You’ll learn to navigate real-world challenges, manage competing priorities, and contribute to initiatives that scale across industries. This is not a passive internship; it’s hands-on, dynamic, and designed for those who thrive in uncertainty and want to help shape something from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential clients across construction, logistics, utilities, and manufacturing sectors.
- Support the creation of marketing materials, case studies, and presentations.
- Conduct research on Australian safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Coordinate product demos, pilot programs, and client discussions.
- Collaborate with Sharktech’s marketing and delivery teams to localise content.
- Contribute ideas to expand market visibility and strengthen client engagement.
Who You Are
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong communicator who enjoys solving problems and learning fast.
- Curious about AI, automation, and their impact on modern workplaces.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ready to take initiative in a startup setting.
- Collaborative, disciplined, and eager to contribute to something larger than a job description.
What You will Gain
- Direct exposure to AI-powered safety technologies and their market applications.
- Experience working alongside founders, product engineers, and marketing strategists.
- Mentorship in startup operations, client engagement, and business development.
- A professional reference and certificate upon successful completion.
- The opportunity to transition into a paid part time role as Sharktech expands its Safety Tech division.
